Our Staff
We are incredibly proud to have a long‑standing team with a very low turnover of staff, with some of our wonderful team having been with us for over 25 years. We believe our exceptional retention rate is supported by our commitment to staff wellbeing and ongoing professional development, creating a positive, stable environment where both children and staff can thrive.
We are a small team of 7 qualified staff, each working the same days every week to provide high‑quality teaching and strong continuity of care for every child .
All of our staff are Paediatric First Aid trained, have enhanced DBS certificates and relevant Food Hygiene training.
Vickie – Nursery Director {FA,CP,FH,SG}
Vickie gained her NNEB qualification in 1991; she worked as a Nanny for 2 years then joined the Nursery in 1993. She was Deputy for 5 years and in 1998 she took over as Director of Humpty Dumpty Nursery. Vickie is a Designated Safeguarding Lead. Vickie has two grown-up children.
Louise – Nursery Manager {FA,CP,FH,SG}
Louise gained her NNEB in 1999 and joined Humpty Dumpty Nursery in 2000 after being a nanny. Louise has been Nursery Manager since 2002 and is a Designated Safeguarding Lead and Early Support officer. Louise has two children.
Kelly – Deputy Manager and SENDCo {FA,CP,TTT,FH,SG}
Kelly joined Humpty Dumpty Nursery in 2018. Kelly gained her Degree in Early years and Education in 2013. Kelly is the nursery SENDCo, a Designated Safeguarding Lead and Time to Talk (Speech and Language) champion. She has two children.
Lisa – Nursery Practitioner {FA,CP,SG,FH,TTT}
Lisa gained her NNEB qualification in 1991 and joined Humpty Dumpty Nursery in 1993. Lisa has three grown-up children. She is a Time to Talk champion.
Jayne – Nursery Practitioner {CP,FA,FH}
Jayne joined Humpty Dumpty Nursery in 2014. She is qualified at NVQ level 3. Jayne has three children.
Lynn – Nursery Practitioner {FA,CP,FH}
Lynn joined Humpty Dumpty Nursery in 2023, after working in local nurseries for many years. She gained her NVQ Level 3 qualification in 2011. Lynn has six grown up children, is a grandmother of twelve and a great-grandmother of two.
Jodie – Nursery Practitioner {FA,CP,FH}
Jodie joined Humpty Dumpty Nursery in 2025 and gained her Level 3 qualification in 2015. Jodie has 2 children.
